The customer wanted to optimize their Acuador 28C, a 4.6-ton boat from 2006 equipped with a Bravo 3 sterndrive. The main goals were faster time to plane and better power in headwinds, where the engine previously struggled to get the boat up on plane.
Already after the first test drive following the optimization, the customer reported significantly improved throttle response. As shown below, the time to plane improved by an impressive 45%.
Now, after the optimization, the boat planes already at 19 knots and 3000 RPM, and can maintain planing down to 16 knots. Even from 3000 RPM, throttle response is excellent, and the engine now revs up to 3900 RPM, resulting in a higher top speed by several knots.
