Book AdBlue-off

To book an AdBlue-off (also known as AdBlue delete), simply locate your vehicle under “Engine Tuning” and book as you would a standard tuning service. In the “Message” field, specify if you only want an AdBlue-off or if you wish to add other services. Your order and pricing will then be manually updated by our team.

Of course, you are also welcome to call us at +971 50-174 74 14 or email us at hello@optione.ae for questions or assistance with booking.

💡 Tip: You’ll receive a discount on AdBlue-off and other add-on services when combined with a standard engine optimization. Prices for AdBlue-off and other services are available on our Additional Services page.

AdBlue-off

AdBlue systems are increasingly causing issues and can be expensive to repair. We offer complete deactivation of AdBlue in all types of vehicles.

Problems with AdBlue are becoming more common — rising prices, limited supply, and recurring system errors even after multiple repairs. We can help you disconnect the AdBlue system from your vehicle.

Why Turn Off AdBlue?

The war in Ukraine has affected global AdBlue supply.

In most countries, the Emissions Regulation Act requires AdBlue use in vehicles that are type-approved for it. However, the many governments considering temporary exemptions from this rule due to limited availability and the risk that AdBlue may soon become unobtainable.

We can disable the AdBlue system in your vehicle. However, until legislation changes, driving a vehicle without a functioning AdBlue system on public roads is illegal and may result in fines.

AdBlue-off Pricing

Pricing depends on your vehicle type.

See our Additional Services page for current prices. In general, AdBlue-off is less expensive for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles than for heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery, or agricultural equipment.

About AdBlue

What is AdBlue and what does it do?

Add Your Heading Text Here

AdBlue is a fluid injected into the exhaust stream before the catalytic converter. At the correct temperature, it converts into ammonia, which helps transform harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen gas and water.

Typically, AdBlue consumption is around 3–7% of your diesel usage, depending on vehicle type and emission standard (e.g., Euro 4 or Euro 5).

What happens if I run out of AdBlue?

nitially, your vehicle will experience reduced performance. Eventually, it will go into a “limp mode” with a top speed of about 20–30 km/h. If ignored further, the engine may refuse to start at all.

What is AdBlue made of?

AdBlue is a blend of 32.5% urea and 67.5% demineralized water. Urea is a nitrogen-based compound with the formula CO(NH₂)₂, typically produced synthetically from ammonia and cyanate. While urea naturally exists in mammalian urine, industrial AdBlue is synthetically manufactured.

Urea is also used in fertilizers, plastics, de-icing of runways, and even in skincare under the name “carbamide.”

Legal Aspects of Disabling AdBlue

AdBlue requirements vary between regions. In some countries, AdBlue is not required, or vehicle owners may wish to alter their emission class. In others, AdBlue is simply unavailable. In Sweden, disabling AdBlue is illegal on public roads and may lead to penalties.

Did you know we also tune and disable AdBlue in heavy-duty machinery and agricultural vehicles?

FAQ – AdBlue-off

Förvirrad? Här försöker vi besvara de vanligast förekommande frågorna kring AdBlue.

No, in most countries it is illegal to tamper with emissions systems on vehicles used on public roads. However, there are global markets where such systems are not legally required. We assume that any deactivation will be used in compliance with local laws in your country.

No. AdBlue is injected after the combustion process, so the engine itself is unaffected by disabling it.

Technically yes. We can re-enable a deactivated AdBlue system. However, if the system has been inactive for a long time, components like the tank, pump, injectors, and sensors may have crystallized and require complete replacement.

Some tuning companies claim they can reactivate the system later. So can we — but unless the system has been regularly flushed and maintained, it’s likely irreparably damaged.

Fuel consumption itself is unaffected, since AdBlue is added after combustion. However, you will save on AdBlue refills and maintenance costs.

We offer software-based performance upgrades, also known as ECU tuning, chip tuning, or remapping. Our engine optimization is a refined calibration of the vehicle’s original software in the engine control unit (ECU) — the vehicle’s “brain.”

The result is a smoother ride, increased torque, and more power — with improved fuel economy.

Unlike plug-in tuning boxes or pre-programmed handheld devices, we work directly with your vehicle’s OEM software and can even add custom features like:

  • Speed limiter removal or modification

  • Gear shift/Rev limiter adjustments

  • DPF/EGR/Lambda delete

  • ECU cloning

  • Immobilizer deactivation or reprogramming

Our customers typically seek tuning for three main reasons:

1. Driving Experience
Want a more responsive car with stronger torque and smoother power delivery? We can tailor your engine software to unleash its true potential — especially in the mid-range where you drive the most. Crisp throttle response and optimized gear shifts included.

2. Efficiency & Utility
Towing, boating, farming, or off-roading with a vehicle that feels underpowered? We boost low- and mid-range power to match your actual needs. Your motorhome can climb hills in 4th gear, your tractor can run cooler, and your automatic transmission will select higher gears — even under load.

3. Fuel Savings
Many customers report real-world fuel savings after optimization. For passenger cars, it’s a bonus. For trucks or farm machinery, it can be crucial for profitability. How would 5–10% in diesel savings impact your business? We’ve even reached 20% on some heavy-duty setups. Let’s talk!
